Abstract
Internet permet des rencontres qui seraient improbables dans l’espace ordinaire de communication. L’exemple des forums et mailing lists dans le domaine de la santé et de la santé mentale est particulièrement significatif de processus de décloisonnement social (par exemple entre professionnels et profanes, usagers, amateurs). L’article analyse les conditions qui rendent possible ces rencontres, les types d’interactions ainsi produites, leurs éventuels échecs. Il montre comment, sous l’utopie égalitariste, et bien qu’un jeu sur les identités soit possible, les rapports sociaux ordinaires se rappellent et conservent leur force symbolique.
