Le paradigme de la gouvernance, caractéristique du discours politico-économique ambiant, fait singulièrement référence à la notion de responsabilité, en l’associant avant tout à la saine gestion, à la reddition de comptes et au respect de la loi. Or, parallèlement à ces interprétations de la responsabilité, émergent des propositions philosophiques pour une responsabilité politique prospective, citoyenne et fondée sur la réflexivité. À partir d’une synthèse critique de ces contri­butions surgit l’idée d’une responsabilité écopolitique : il s’agit d’une res­ponsabilité préoccupée du rapport à soi, aux autres et à l’environnement, visant les transformations écosociales.
