Abstract
Former general practitioner Loch Aline, Scotland (b 1939; q Leeds 1963), died from a heart attack on 15 February 2006. After preregistration posts in Keighley, Yorkshire, Bob joined a group practice in Barnoldswick for three years. He then worked in Ontario for four years, where he developed an interest in anaesthetics. Returning to the United Kingdom in 1971, he worked in Whitby for 14 years before moving to Loch Aline in 1986. He retired on health grounds in 1994, moving to France and to the Scottish Borders in 2001. He leaves a wife, five children, and 11 grandchildren.
