Abstract
Avec la généralisation de la contraception (principalement féminine) durant la seconde moitié du xx e siècle dans la majorité des pays occidentaux et les avancées scientifiques en matière de procréation médicalement assistée, le concept de famille s’élargit et la dissociation entre conjugalité et parentalité est posée comme une évidence. Or, nous nous interrogerons, dans cet article, au travers d’entretiens sociologiques effectués avec des personnes volontairement sans enfant, sur l’évidence de cette dissociation/conciliation entre vie conjugale et vie parentale. En effet, les personnes volontairement sans enfant mettent en lumière les contradictions entre les conditions normatives du « métier » de parent et celles du « métier » de partenaire amoureux et sexuel.
