Abstract
Le texte qui suit propose une réponse à la question de savoir à quel type d’autonomie les communautés francophones en situation minoritaire (CFSM) peuvent aspirer. Après avoir précisé la perspective adoptée, qui ne vise pas à définir leur droit à l’autonomie, nous nous appuyons sur certains constats effectués dans des travaux antérieurs pour présenter les conditions actuelles, notamment du point de vue du rapport entre les organismes et l’État fédéral, dans lesquelles peut prendre forme un projet d’autonomie par et pour les CFSM. Dans la suite de cette analyse, nous dégagerons une voie susceptible d’accroître l’autonomie de ces communautés tout en régénérant la mobilisation de la population francophone.
