Abstract
Cet article étudie l’expérience particulière du chaos que propose Mark Z. Danielewski dans "House of Leaves". En effet, le roman fait d’un objet chaotique, la maison, son thème de prédilection et son modèle poétique et esthétique. Toutefois, le choix d’un tel sujet n’apparaît pas sans conséquence puisque à travers lui, c’est tout un pan du langage et toute une perception de la société qui sont mis à mal. Le chaos, de prime abord thématique, contamine la mise en page et la textualité au profit d’une réflexion plus large sur la place que ce paradigme contemporain peut prendre dans notre société et les conséquences que cela engendre.
