Abstract
Née à Belgrade en 1968 et installée à Montréal depuis 1992, Ana Sokolovic est désormais une figure incontournable du paysage musical québécois et canadien.Depuis 1995, des commandes lui viennent de plusieurs organismes, tels que POrchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM), l'Ensemble contemporain de Montréal (ECM), la Société de musique contemporaine du Québec (SMCQ), le Quatuor Molinari, l'Esprit Orchestra, The Queen of Puddings Music Theatre Co., Soundstreams et le Manitoba Chamber Orchestra 1 .Ses œuvres sont régulièrement entendues à Montréal, mais également dans d'autres grandes villes canadiennes.Depuis 1998, des oeuvres d'Ana Sokolovic ont été jouées chaque année à Toronto : Pesma et Secret de polichinelle en 1998, Géométrie sentimentale en 1999, Nine Proverbs et Sirènes en 2000, Nonet, Blanc dominant, Trois études et Ambient
