Abstract
Excess molar enthalpies, measured at 298.15 K in a flow microcalorimiter, are reported for the two ternary systems, ethyl tert-butylether + n-heptane + n-decane and ethyl tert-butylether + n-heptane + n-dodecane. Smooth representations of the results were used to construct constant enthalpy contours on Roozeboom diagrams. It is shown that useful estimates of the ternary enthalpies can be obtained from the LiebermannFried model using only the physical properties of the components and their binary mixtures.Key words: excess enthalpies, ternary mixtures, ethyl tert-butylether, n-alkanes, LiebermannFried model.
