Aider les jeunes en difficulté au-delà du diagnostic : une expérience novatrice au Québec

Abstract
Résumé Quand un jeune est en difficulté, sa famille et son réseau le sont aussi. Parfois une spirale d’interventions se développe autour de lui : il est alors affublé de plusieurs diagnostics, on multiplie le nombre d’intervenants qui se renvoient le patient les uns aux autres et ensuite, aucun service ne se sent plus à la hauteur pour agir dans une situation aussi compliquée. Qui peut dès lors aider ? Une équipe d’intervenants a été créée à Laval, en banlieue de Montréal, pour agir rapidement et à court terme auprès de ces jeunes et de leurs familiers, au-delà des étiquettes et des diagnostics, pour traverser un état de crise vécu aussi par les intervenants déjà impliqués. Dans cet article, nous présentons les principes généraux qui orientent les interventions menées auprès des jeunes, des familles et des référents.
