Cet article vise à mettre en évidence le lien entre voix narrative, spectres et spectacle, à montrer en quoi la voix projette un espace de parole complexe qu’on ne saurait réduire à la figure de la narratrice dans La compagnie des spectres de Lydie Salvayre. La saisie de la voix narrative dans ce roman est indissociable de la reconnaissance d’une tonalité générique qui fait appel à la mémoire du lecteur et qui engage des modes d’enchaînement spécifiques à différents niveaux. En conjoignant l’analyse minutieuse du tressage narratif et une compréhension du roman dans son ensemble, cet article vise à problématiser la notion même de voix narrative. L’importance d’une prise en compte de la mémoire (discursive, générique, commune) pour une reconsidération de cette notion ressort tout particulièrement de ce parcours.
