Abstract
Resumen. A partir de una tipología de la calidad del empleo basada en la remuneración, las horas de trabajo, la cualificación y la estabilidad laboral, el autor compara la evolución al respecto en Quebec y en el Reino Unido de mujeres y hombres, con o sin hijos. Entre 1998 y 2008 disminuyó la diferencia entre los géneros entre las personas con hijos pequeños. La situación de las madres en comparación con la de los padres es mejor en Quebec que en el Reino Unido debido al contexto económico, a las políticas sociales y a que los padres quebequeses trabajan menos horas.
