In June, the historical heart of Quebec City welcomed the 7th International Summit on Oncolytic Viral Therapeutics for an excellent opportunity to witness the growth of the field, in both size and maturity. Efforts are being made to better characterize interactions between oncolytic viruses (OVs) and host components, both inside and outside the tumor bed, with their relative contribution to the overall therapeutic efficacy. New approaches in improving OV delivery, tumor selectivity, spreading, and killing continue to flourish.
