La représentation du corps de la femme noire serait-elle un des derniers tabous de la littérature ? Corps torturé, corps esclave, corps exotique, corps maternel ou corps sensuel, le corps de la femme noire apparaît comme une grande machine à fantasmes. Nous analysons, dans le cadre de cet article, le développement des représentations du corps de la femme dans des textes écrits par des écrivaines issues de l’univers caribéen. L’intérêt de ces oeuvres est que s’y ajoute, au problème plus général de l’aliénation de la femme, celui du passé esclavagiste. Nous abordons en particulier dans cette perspective les textes de Marie-Célie Agnant (Haïti) et de Gisèle Pineau (Guadeloupe).
