Abstract
La réflexion sur l’État, si elle instruit de façon approfondie sur les tendances dans la crise qui assaille l’État, reste discrète sur les raisons expliquant comment certains États parviennent à survivre à ces tendances alors que d’autres semblent livrés à la décomposition. Le but de cet article est d’apporter quelques éléments de réponse à cette interrogation à travers une analyse des processus et des formes de réorganisation des États européens durant les dernières décennies. L’analyse comparée proposée ici tente de dégager des lignes de force commune tout en tenant compte de la variété des trajectoires de recherche visant à mieux articuler l’approche des régulations politiques et des régulations sociales.
