Abstract
Risques collectifs environnementaux et sanitaires et contestation sociale de l’action publique et de l’expertise vont désormais de pair. Une demande de réappropriation citoyenne de l’une et de l’autre est formulée de façon récurrente par des organisations non gouvernementales (ONG). L’ouverture de l’expertise scientifique sur les acteurs concernés devient un enjeu à élucider. L’expérience du Groupe Radioécologie Nord-Cotentin en France est l’une des plus avancées dans ce pays, mais ses résultats sociaux demeurent en retrait sur les attentes. Ce cas soulève la question des différentes trajectoires possibles de co-évolution de l’expertise et de la contestation sociale lorsque certains acteurs au moins abordent l’expertise avec des visées stratégiques.
