Cet article porte sur les représentations de la notion de présomption d’innocence véhiculées dans les débats politiques concernant la mise sur pied de la Banque nationale de données génétiques au Canada. Nous montrons la façon dont la logique de risque imprègne les représentations de la présomption d’innocence et comment les rapports entre l’État et les citoyens se transforment à l’ère du néolibéralisme. La mise en banque de profils de personnes condamnées constitue une forme de surveillance biotechnique faisant reculer la présomption d'innocence, en particulier pour des populations déjà identifiées par le système pénal.
