Este artigo propõe reflexões sobre dinâmica de grupo a partir de um estudo de caso de uma turma de língua inglesa. Para tal, apresentamos parte dos resultados desse estudo que teve enfoque na percepção dos participantes sobre o processo grupal, na influência desse grupo sobre o processo de aprendizagem de seus membros e também na percepção dos participantes do que seja "um grupo facilitador do processo de aprendizagem de língua inglesa." Os dados obtidos nesta pesquisa sugerem que o grupo da sala de aula e o seu desenvolvimento são fatores que podem interferir no processo de aprendizagem da língua-alvo. Os resultados, portanto, são indicativos de certas condições em que se dá o desenvolvimento do grupo de língua, do início ao seu término, e de aspectos que interferem nesse processo.
