Abstract
C’est en 1907 que Marcel Mauss pense se porter candidat à la direction du musée d’ethnographie du Trocadéro. À cette occasion il rédige un projet de réorganisation du musée parisien qui restera finalement inédit. L’intérêt de ce texte réside dans le fait que Mauss y expose sont point de vue sur la recherche ethnographique française au tournant du siècle et les problèmes théoriques que soulèvent l’enseignement et le renouveau de l’ethnographie, discipline non auxiliaire.
