Abstract
Axes majeurs et développements récents de l'anthropologie au Québec L'anthropologie au Québec est issue du milieu universitaire. Formés pour la plupart par les grandes écoles américaines, britanniques et françaises, les anthropologues n'ont guère été associés à l'affirmation du nationalisme québécois. Mais leurs analyses des effets du développement du capitalisme sur les populations autochtones et la paysannerie et celles des pratiques discriminatoires dirigées contre les femmes et les groupes minoritaires ont favorisé leur rapprochement à gauche de l'échiquier politique. La production anthropologique québécoise n'a toutefois pas débordé les frontières même si elle a été constamment marquée par les débats qui ont traversé la discipline. Depuis 1980, l'occupation de nouveaux champs de pratique et la percée sur la scène internationale représentent les principaux défis des anthropologues du Québec.
