Abstract
Nous avons cherché à vérifier l’hypothèse de l’évolution du jugement moral posée par Piaget et précisée par Kohlberg. Deux épreuves, à notation objective, fondées sur la description que Getzels et Jackson ont fait de la personne « morale » ont été administrées à cinq échantillons d’élèves normalement scolarisés du C.M.2 en 3ème (40 G et 40 F par niveau). L’analyse de variance à deux facteurs de classification (Sexe x Âge scolaire) vérifie effectivement l’évolution attendue mais pour une épreuve seulement : « opinion personnelle ». En outre, à tous les niveaux scolaires envisagés le choix de l’alternative morale est significativement plus fréquent chez les filles que chez les garçons. L’examen des corrélations révèle que : a) les résultats aux deux épreuves expérimentales sont indépendants des aptitudes intellectuelles des sujets et également, b) indépendants des résultats scolaires.
