Assessment of the Calibration of the Intoxilyzer® 5000C Following Extensive use of an Alcohol Standard
Bibliographic record
Abstract
The assessment of the accuracy of the Intoxilyzer® 5000C relies on the use of an aqueous alcohol standard placed in a simulator to form a closed, re-circulating system. This study was designed to evaluate the ability of the alcohol standard to correctly assess the calibration of the instrument as the alcohol concentration of the standard decreases through extensive use. The conducting of an average of 218 calibration checks per calibrated instrument over a 12 day period resulted in a 5% decrease in the actual concentration of the alcohol standard. While the mean of the calibration check results also decreased, 99.7% of the calibration check results were within the acceptable range of 90 to 110 mg/100 mL used to show the instrument is calibrated. Thus, while alcohol depletion does occur through use of the Intoxilyzer® 5000C, the alcohol standard remains suitable for the assessment of the calibration of the instrument under conditions of expected field use.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
