Abstract
Cet article met en lumière un paradigme de réflexion ignoré par la recherche féministe qui a trait au débat sexe/genre, tel qu’il se présente chez Judith Butler (Trouble dans le genre). D’abord, je rappellerai que la philosophe s’inscrit dans la tradition herméneutique du soupçon. Deuxièmement, je mettrai en relief le concept implicitement platonicien de mimèsis, central dans la subversion espérée du genre et pourtant resté sans critique chez Butler et ses adeptes. Troisièmement, parce que le féminisme butlérien échoue à conjurer les dualismes et à penser du même coup l’idem et l’ipse identitaires, j’attirerai l’attention sur les concepts ricœuriens de triple mimèsis et d’identité narrative, qui permettent d’écarter dichotomies et hiérarchisations. Dans les sillons de Paul Ricœur et de Françoise Héritier, je défendrai enfin un point de vue féministe herméneutique, différentialiste et universaliste.
