Abstract
Contrairement à une idée reçue, la gestion intégrée des zones côtières (GIZC) ne se limite pas au renforcement de la concertation entre les acteurs du littoral. Comme le montrent les études internationales et européennes portant sur la question cette démarche repose sur des principes qui sont notamment repris dans la Recommandation du Conseil et du Parlement européen du 30 mai 2002. Depuis 2007, l’approche de la Commission Européenne a quelque peu évolué puisqu’elle tend à mettre en œuvre une politique maritime intégrée autonome alors qu’elle devrait logiquement faire partie de la politique européenne de GIZC.
