Abstract
De deux brefs manuscrits d’Anouilh, il est fait une seule et unique pièce dont le titre aurait pu être Le procès, si Kafka y avait consenti. Dans le premier manuscrit, l’inculpé se nomme Jean Anouilh, dans l’autre il s’agit d’un certain Gaëtan Biscayes. Dans les deux cas, l’homme est accusé d’avoir raté sa vie. Le procureur nous apprend qu’Anouilh ou Biscayes, il devra répondre d’un grave et multiple échec : échec social, échec professionnel, échec familial et sentimental et enfin, échec métaphysique. Il émane de ce texte reconstruit et sans doute incomplet une vision anouilhesque du monde, à la fois cocasse, mélancolique, et parfois franchement sinistre.
