First-order transition in frustrated Yb2Ti2O7 without long-range order
Bibliographic record
Abstract
We have examined the pyrochlore lattice compound Yb 2 Ti 2 O 7 using 170 Yb Mössbauer spectroscopy and neutron diffraction. The Yb 3+ ion has a well-isolated S' = 1/2 ground state with planar anisotropy and the net interaction is ferromagnetic. The Mössbauer measurements show that short-range correlations develop below about 2 K and at 0.2 K, where specific heat data evidence a λ-transition (Blöte et al. Physica, 43, 549 (1969)), there is a first-order transition to a state where the Yb 3+ moments become blocked on the Mössbauer time scale (10 8 s) with well-defined directions. The neutron diffraction measurements show that below 0.2 K there is no long-range magnetic order. PACS Nos.: 75.40-s, 76.80+y, 75.50Dd

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
