Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

[Alatajassa, a new genus of ischyrocerin corophiidean amphipod comprising two species has been discovered on the coast of Pacific North America. Alatajassa similis n. sp. has been found from California to Alaska (41°N 124°W-56°N 134°W) and Alatajassa diversa n. sp. from Amchitka Island, Alaska (51°N 179°E). Alatajassa is so named because of the wing-like expansions on the ischium of gnathopods 1-2 and pereopods 5-7. The genus is unusual in the Ischyrocerini in having long spinous processes extending ventrally from the peduncles of uropods 1 and 2, a stout, uniramous uropod 3, and sexual dimorphism posteriorly rather than anteriorly. Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
