Abstract
Résumé Dans L'Avalée des avalés, ¡es enfants Einberg sont divisés entre une mère catholique et un père Juif, personnages qui permettent à Ducharme une condamnation radicale de toute religion. Cet article se propose d'étudier, principalement à travers les noms propres, les modalités de la représentation du monde juif dans le roman. En effet, l'invention de noms fictifs, reconnaissables comme juifs, rend manifeste le recyclage des clichés et des stéréotypes qui sous-tendent la perception des Juifs dans le discours social. Comme il le fait pour le langage ou les proverbes, Ducharme accentue et systématise un procédé pour en montrer l'absurde.
