Abstract
Résumé Les spéculations sur l’avenir du système de la distribution automobile vont bon train et de nouveaux distributeurs préparent déjà leurs stratégies d’entrée dans le secteur. Que ce soit la grande distribution ou les nouveaux intermédiaires dans Internet, tous fourbissent leurs armes pour investir ce secteur en mutation. Cet article discute donc des enjeux de cette évolution pour les concessionnaires. La réflexion proposée est essentiellement descriptive et sectorielle; elle s’appuie sur une approche par la chaîne de valeur des concessionnaires. Cette étude permet de montrer que les combats menés actuellement par les concessionnaires sont peut-être dépassés face à la nécessité stratégique de réinventer leur métier.
