Abstract
Le but de cette recherche est de vérifier l’hypothèse suivant laquelle il est possible d’abaisser l’âge d’accession à la conservation des quantités chez des enfants débiles légers. Quatorze sujets sont soumis à un apprentissage opératoire par conflit cognitif et quatorze font partie du groupe témoin. Les résultats observés aux post-tests révèlent que les sujets du groupe soumis aux exercices d’apprentissage ont un rendement significativement plus élevé que ceux du groupe témoin. L’interprétation des résultats porte sur le caractère opératoire des acquisitions ainsi que sur les facteurs susceptibles d’expliquer les progrès observés.
