Abstract
L’auteure analyse l’influence de deux œuvres cinématographiques étatsuniennes, Le Jour le plus long et Il faut sauver le soldat Ryan, sur la représentation du débarquement de Normandie à la télévision française. Revenant sur la mise en narration de cet épisode de la guerre depuis les années cinquante sur le petit écran, elle s’interroge sur les mutations que la pénétration de ces films entraîne. Mutations du fond et de la forme qui participent principalement à la progressive américanisation de l’histoire du 6 juin 1944 et contribuent ainsi à l’élaboration d’une « nouvelle » réalité historique.
