<p class="resume" dir="ltr">L'hydrogéomorphologie est une approche en développement au Québec afin d'apporter un cadre d'analyse complémentaire aux pratiques de gestion des systèmes fluviaux. À travers l'étude de cas de la rivière Matane, cet article propose des méthodes cartographiques appliquées pour la gestion de l'aléa d'inondation de rivières situées en climat tempéré froid. Une typologie des modelés de la plaine alluviale est proposée. Elle est axée sur le fonctionnement des inondations, plus particulièrement de la puissance des crues ou de l'action des glaces flottantes : les modelés d'érosion, de sédimentation, stables et glaciels. Une stratégie complémentaire basée sur un relevé des cicatrices glacielles sur les arbres permet de cartographier les zones inondables par embâcle de glace. La contribution de la cartographie hydrogéomorphologique à la gestion de l'aléa d'inondation est illustrée dans le cadre d'une approche interdisciplinaire. Elle mène à une proposition de zonages qui s'inscrivent dans le cadre normatif actuellement en vigueur au Québec pour la gestion des risques d'inondation. </p><p class="abstract" dir="ltr">There is growing interest in hydrogeomorphological mapping in Québec to bring forth a framework that is harmonized with fluvial environment management practices. Through the case study of the Matane River, this article presents a method for mapping flood hazard for rivers in temperate cold climate. A typology of alluvial plain morphology is proposed. This topology is based on flood work and more particularly on flood power and the effects of floating ice. The categories are erosion, sedimentation, stable and glacial morphologies. A complementary approach based on the distribution of ice scars on trees leads to the mapping of ice jam flood hazard. The contribution of the hydrogeomorphological method for fluvial hazard management is presented within an interdisciplinary approach. It results in a flood hazard zoning proposition that is compatible with Québec's current policy. </p>
