Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

A kawaio penak , a new genus and species, is described from the upper M azaruni R iver, G uyana. The new species is diagnosed from all other species of H ypopomidae by several anatomical traits. The phylogenetic affinities of the new genus were inferred using data from one nuclear (rag2) and two mitochondrial ( COI and cyt b ) genes. The phylogenetic analyses indicate that A kawaio is the sister taxon of a clade that includes B rachyhypopomus , H ypopomus , M icrosternarchus and R acenisia . These results provide evidence for the phylogenetic composition of H ypopomidae supported by previous molecular studies and support the position of the S teatogenini ( H ypopygus + S teatogenys ) as the sister group of R hamphichthys + G ymnorhamphichthys . The description of this new electric knifefish increases the total number of endemic genera and species in the upper M azaruni, a region that is suffering freshwater habitat degradation as consequence of gold‐mining activities.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
