Abstract
2009年6月22日から26日に，TAPPI主催の2009International Conference on Nanotechnology for the Forest Products Industryが，カナダ，アルバータ州エドモントンにて開催された。この会議は今回で4回目となり，12カ国から180名を超える参加があった。ナノサイズの物質の物性や，その製造・利用技術，分析法，安全性の評価など，紙・パルプや木材分野におけるナノテクノロジーについての研究発表（口頭45件，ポスター20件）や講演，パネルディスカッションが行われた。
