Le transfert technologique: importation et formes d'accès

Abstract
L'industrie québécoise importe massivement de la technologie étrangère. Un profil du transfert technologique au Québec présente les modes d'accès et les conditions sous lesquelles il s'effectue. Une enquête auprès des établissements de quatre branches de l'industrie (alimentation, papier, produits pharmaceutiques et aéronautique) passe en revue plusieurs aspects de la question: techniques de fabrication, formes de paiement, formation du personnel, importation de machinerie et d'aménagement, contrats en recherche-développement, et adaptation. Les résultats montrent que l'industrie obtient sa technologie de sources diverses et qu'elle est en mesure de faire les adaptations requises. Ils révèlent aussi que les formes d'accès et la technologie disponible varient d'une industrie à l'autre et selon la nationalité à la tête de l'entreprise. On conclut que la forte importation technologique ne crée pas nécessairement une dépendance.
