Abstract
Résumé L’auteur examine les arguments en faveur ou non de l’équation entre réponse couleur et affect, laquelle constitue, depuis des décennies, un des piliers de l’interprétation du Rorschach. Certains arguments relèvent des usages du langage, d’autres plus anciens appartiennent à une conception plus ésotérique. Une revue de la littérature qui questionne cette équation est également présentée. L’auteur souligne que d’autres caractéristiques que la couleur au Rorschach peuvent être associées à l’affectivité, montrant à quel point l’attribution d’un sens exclusivement « affectif » aux réponses couleur s’avère réductionniste lorsque le psychologue franchit l’étape de l’interprétation.
