Abstract
Résumé Dans un article publié en 1993, R. Bolton soutient qu’Aristote fournit une description de l’ elenchos socratique dans les Réfutations sophistiques et qu’il cherche également à résoudre le principal problème théorique soulevé par l’ elenchos socratique. Nous nous efforçons au contraire de montrer, dans notre réponse à R. Bolton, que la conception aristotélicienne de l’ elenchos se démarque nettement de l ’elenchos socratique et qu’Aristote ne se reconnaît aucune dette à l’endroit de Socrate.
