COMPOSITIONAL VARIATIONS IN OULANKAITE AND A NEW SERIES OF ARGENTOAN OULANKAITE FROM THE LUKKULAISVAARA LAYERED INTRUSION, NORTHERN RUSSIAN KARELIA

L'oulankaite, stannosulfotellurure complexe de metaux de base et de metaux precieux provenant du gisement de Nadezhda, complexe stratiforme de Lukkulaisvaara, dans le nord de la Karelie, secteur nord-ouest de laRussie, fait preuve d'une variation importante en composition. A la localite type, cette espece unique parmi les mineraux du groupe du platine (MGP) est associee a plusieurs sulfures de metaux de base et de MGP dans des lentilles de gabbronorite a grains grossiers, voire pegmatitiques, montrant les effets d'une alteration hydrothermale, le tout a l'interieur d'un filon-couche de microgabbronorite. Nos documentons des covariations en teneurs de (Pd + Pt) et de (Cu + Fe + Ag) dans l'oulankaite a faible teneur en Ag (<0.1%, poids) et une nouvelle solution solide d'oulankaite argentifere (jusqu'a 1.52 atomes de Ag par formule unitaire, apfu: atomes = 14). A la lumiere des donnees nouvelles, nous proposons une formule revisee pour decrire le pole a faible teneur en Ag: (Pd,Pt) 5 + x (Cu,Fe,Ag) 4 - x SnTe 2 S 2 , avec 0 ≤ x < 1. La formule de l'analogue a dominance d'argent est semblable: (Pd,Pt) 5 + x (Ag,Cu,Fe) 4 - x SnTe 2 S 2 , avec 0 ≤ x < 1. Deux mecanismes differents existent dans l'oulankaite argentifere, Ag-pour-Cu et Pd-pour-(Cu+Ag), tandis que la composition de l'oulankaite depourvue d'argent repond a la seule substitution Pd-pour-Cu. L'oulankaite argentifere atteint la composition (Pd 5 . 3 1 Pt 0 . 1 7 ) Σ 5 . 4 8 (Ag 1 . 5 2 Cu 1 . 2 7 Fe 0 . 6 3 ) Σ 3 . 4 2 Sn 1 . 0 3 Te 2 . 0 9 S 1 . 9 8 , qui serait probablement une nouvelle espece de MGP. Des micro-inclusions de ferropargasite riche en chlore (jusqu'a 3.25% Cl, poids) sont presentes dans les deux especes. Les membres de la nouvelle solution solide se seraient formes a partir de microvolumes d'un liquide ou fluide tardif enrichi en Pd, Ag, Cu, Sn, Te, et S, ce qui est conforme a la mineralisation en Pd-(Pt)-Ag au gisement de Nadezhda.
