Abstract
Les lettres que Jacques Ferron a adressées à ses soeurs, rassemblées dans le recueil Laisse courir ta plume, sont antérieures à sa véritable naissance à l'écriture. Pourtant, l'image que le jeune collégien donne de lui-même dans cette correspondance porte à croire qu'il se laisse déjà prendre au jeu de la fiction. En effet, Ferron se construit successivement, au fil de cette correspondance, une persona d'épistolier et une persona d'écrivain. Si ses lectures lui permettent de découvrir sa propre conception du travail de l'écrivain et de trouver son style, elles viennent rapidement à en constituer l'élément déclencheur. Graduellement, Ferron arrive à imposer son propre style et sa personnalité à travers un discours de plus en plus affranchi des codes.
