Abstract
Cet article étudie les effets, sur la réception philosophique française de John Rawls et des « théories de la justice », de leur importation antérieure au sein des départements de philosophie francophone belges et québécois dès le début des années 1990. Cela suppose de complexifier les modèles habituellement mis en œuvre pour étudier la circulation internationale des idées en distinguant les effets propres aux frontières linguistiques et aux frontières nationales sur celle-ci. Après avoir retracé les raisons de cette ouverture plus précoce des « marges francophones », on décrit l’effet d’accélérateur que celle-ci a exercé sur la réception française de la philosophie politique étasunienne. On montre en outre comment, à l’occasion de ce transit, les « théories de la justice » sont politisées, et pour partie retraduites en fonction d’enjeux spécifiques aux champs politiques belge et canadien.
