Abstract
The thirteenth essay in this series profiles copy editor and author Maeve O'Connor. O'Connor began her career as an editor of symposia in the life sciences with the Ciba Foundation (now the Novartis Foundation), where she learned the necessary tools to become a science editor, an author of a number of books on editing scientific books and journals, and an organizer of several professional editorial associations.
