Abstract
Le concept psychanalytique de narcissisme primaire est aujourd’hui très contesté en tant que stade libidinal précoce marqué par une absence de relation d’objet. Les développements de la théorisation des processus de représentation et les recherches actuelles concernant la réflexivité et l’intersubjectivité permettent de redonner une place à ce concept dans sa clinique d’origine, celle des psychoses de l’adulte. Dans cette perspective, le narcissisme primaire correspond à une position particulière de la psyché où, face à un traumatisme subjectif majeur, la trace de la rencontre avec l’objet est effacée de la subjectivité. Dans cette optique, la dimension anobjectale est le produit d’une construction psychique défensive où le sujet prend la place de l’objet. Lors du traitement psychanalytique des psychoses, il est alors possible de considérer les premiers mouvements projectifs dépersonnalisants pour le thérapeute comme le premier temps du re-déploiement transférentiel de cette problématique de l’effacement de l’objet.
