Selon les prévisions de l’Organisation internationale de la francophonie (OIF), la planète devrait compter quelque 770 millions de francophones d’ici 2050, alors qu’elle n’en dénombre aujourd’hui que 200 millions. Fait encore plus étonnant : neuf locuteurs français sur dix habiteraient alors l’Afrique. À ce compte, pas surprenant que les plus grandes puissances du monde multiplient actuellement les actions pour explorer, voire exploiter, tout le potentiel économique de ce nouvel Eldorado. À l’heure où l’industrie des médias est en pleine redéfinition, n’est-ce pas l’occasion d’amorcer une réflexion majeure sur ces futurs marchés ?
