Abstract
Résumé Comment fonctionne la dette étudiante et quelles sont ses implications sociales et politiques ? Cet article montre que le passage du financement public au financement individualisé des études supérieures commence par apporter des clients à certaines banques, qui savent bien en profiter. Cette évolution instaure aussi un quasi-marché des formations universitaires, qui a pour résultat d’exacerber les inégalités, les montants des droits d’inscription devenant la hiérarchie de référence entre des institutions décentralisées et mises en compétition.
