Abstract
Le but de ce texte est d'examiner, à l'aide des données du Recensement de 1971, si un certain nombre d'hypothèses souvent avancées sur la situation des cadres francophones au Québec sont exactes. Ces hypothèses sont les suivantes : — plus la propriété francophone d'un secteur d'activité est élevée, plus la présence des cadres francophones y est importante aussi bien pour l'ensemble des cadres (la) que pour les cadres supérieurs (lb) ; — plus le Québec est important comme débouché pour un secteur d'activité, plus la présence des cadres francophones dans la fonction « ventes » y est importante (2) ; — plus les francophones constituent une part importante de la main-d’œuvre d'un secteur d'activité, plus la présence des cadres francophones y est importante dans la fonction « personnel » (3).
