Abstract
Les « bonnes raisons » de donner Le sociologue Raymond Boudon propose depuis plusieurs années d'élargir le paradigme de l'individualisme méthodologique et de l'appliquer à des phénomènes sociaux qui échappent à la rationalité instrumentale. Dans cet article, nous examinons le phénomène du don à la lumière de ce paradigme. Tout en constatant l'intérêt de comprendre les « bonnes raisons » de donner, nous concluons que l'individualisme méthodologique n'épuise pas le sens du don et postulons l'existence d'un espace social qui échappe au modèle des bonnes raisons sans reposer pour autant sur le recours à la tradition.
