Abstract
We propose a general theory in which an Internet physical or logical graph is blurred to a manifold. C*-algebras are proposed as a formalism in which the difference between graphs and manifolds vanishes. This technique applies most naturally to hyperbolic graphs and more generally to hyperbolic metric spaces. It is shown that hyperbolic graphs appear quite naturally in the Internet and that the hyperbolic property allows for secure routing along many different quasi-geodesics. Furthermore, it appears that worm propagation is heavily curvature dependent. A general theory of control of systems defined over C* -algebras is sketched.
