Abstract
Cet article porte essentiellement sur la part sociale et politique de l’œuvre et de l’engagement du chanoine Jacques Grand’Maison, de la Révolution tranquille à nos jours. De la critique du cléricalisme et du bossisme de la « Grande Noirceur » dans les années 1950 à la libération culturelle des années 1960-1970, de la critique de la nouvelle classe fin 1970 et début 1980 à celle de la culture de masse dite thérapeutique des années 1980-1990, Jacques Grand’Maison a toujours cherché à établir le dialogue avec les générations qui ont marqué le Québec contemporain. Par l’analyse de l’itinéraire intellectuel parfois sinueux de Grand’Maison, cet article tente de repérer les événements référentiels qui ont contribué à façonner une part de la spécificité de l’histoire intellectuelle du Québec depuis la Révolution tranquille.
