Le présent article vise à expérimenter la notion de « sacré à plaisanterie » à partir de situations (en France ces deux dernières décennies) dans lesquelles des affiches publicitaires à base de symboles religieux provoquaient des conflits. L’auteur s’attache à dégager un mécanisme d’enquête interprétative de la part de l’instance de réception qui articule tout à la fois des opérations d’identification de la référence religieuse (plan de la plausibilité) et des options procédurales d’expression de réprobation (plan de la congruence).
