Abstract
Les écoles secondaires québécoises fêtent, en cette fin de siècle, leur 30e anniversaire. Nées dans la foulée de la réforme scolaire des années 1960, elles se sont donné progressivement une identité propre, une culture institutionnelle fortement marquée par la couleur de leur temps. Les études de neuf établissements d'enseignement secondaire réalisées entre 1991 et 1995 servent de toile de fond à cette rétrospective de la culture organisationnelle des écoles québécoises. Elles apportent des éléments d'explication au fait que certaines écoles ont réussi plus que d'autres à développer une culture favorable à la réussite scolaire.
