Abstract
In commenting Cesar Botella's paper "On Remembering. The notion of memory without recollections.", (DOI: 10.1111/1745-8315.12220) the author agrees with Botella about memory without recollections, then explores in detail the Freudian definition of remembering and criticizes what for him is a misunderstanding of Freud's "archaeological model" of memory in psychoanalysis.
